Marie-Sophie Demers, LL.B.

Lawyer

Me Marie-Sophie Demers grew up in the legal field as her father initiated her from a very young age. She started working in 2001, as she was completing the first year of her bachelor’s degree in law. She was then admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2005 and continued to perfect her expertise in Estrie.

Me Demers practices litigation in various fields including civil law, real estate law, agricultural law and labor law. Being recognized for her oratory and communicative skills, Me Demers has acquired specific experience as a pleader both in front of the ordinary courts and in front of the administrative tribunals as well as before the Court of Appeal, the Superior Court, the Court of Quebec and the Régie des marches agricoles et alimentaires du Québec. Over the years, Me Demers has also developed a certain expertise in particular fields such as agricultural law and real estate law, in which she particularly appreciates working.

Her analytical skills and her rigor allowed her to develop effective strategies, which are always geared towards the interests of her clients. As such, she always makes sure to counsel and represent her clients with transparency and professionalism. Whether it is before the ordinary courts or before the administrative tribunals, she defends with conviction the rights of her clients.

Me Demers is also really involved in her community. Once president of the Young Bar of the Saint-Francois’s District, as well as the Participatory Justice Comity, she is now involved with the Vitae Foundation and the Handi-Ressource, in which both she is a member of the board of directors.
